M8 Lariat 1A2 Main Battle Tank by AC710N87 M8 Lariat 1A2 Main Battle Tank by AC710N87
M8 Lariat 1A2 as commissioned by Coorsota. The Lariat 1A2 is an upgraded 1A1L utilizing the same "Long Arm" turret albeit with an expanded bustle and modified internal configuration and an entirely new hull (although its visually very similar). The new hull allows for a flat engine deck to accommodate a new, smaller engine/transmission combination in addition to some type of active suspension. Additional differences include:

*Modified RWS allowing for the RWS to elevate to allow for better access to areas closer to the tank and for better operation in an urban environment

*Updated fire control, electronics, and gunner's primary sight

*Possible new main gun

*New Drivers and Commander's Periscopes and Imaging Systems for greater field of view and protection

The particular tank imaged carries an M55A dirt bike for scouting, reconnaissance, and route planning for the tank's armor group.

Do you actually know anything about Tanks, Armor personel Carriers, Infantry Fighting Vehicles, Armored Cars, Light Reconnaisance Vehicles, and Light Armored Vehicles?

Please, if you don't, do us all a favor and stop creating CO2 on here, I'm suffocating enough thanks.

Also the Leopard II is a welcome tank to knock off of because of all the M1A1/M1A2 knock offs.

Even a Leopard II and M1A2 hybrid knock off(which this looks like a legitimate honest to god original effort) is 3 times better than one of a M1.
At OP, Iike the design alot. I think the bushmaster 20 mike mike looks awesome as a coax. Lower hull has a cool shape to it and I somehow am amazed at the road wheels design +2 for ingenuity. Lastly the turret likes good I personaly thin the turret looks more an advanced merkava than a Leopard II.

all around I love the design

-turret and guns look like they mean busines, the 120mm is impressive
-lower hull looks like it gives the tank plenty of speed and maneuverability
and when I meant knock off I meant a copy-with-new-lines-not-so-much-a-direct-copy

Yes I do actually know about armored vehicles.

I just chose not to go full on pants retarded and say coments like: this is stupid I know more about this than you do....

good for you that you can blurt out that your daddy commanded M60 Patton Main Battle Tanks.... wouldn't brag about it if I were you, dosen't make people care about your opinion when you start sputtering things.

I also have a full bookcase full of Tanks, AFVs, LAVs, APCs, IFVs, Armored Cars, other armored vehicles; several movies and documentaries on armored vehicles. I've also had first hand experiance with old World War II tanks, and I've spoken to a few old timers.

From the Remote Weapon Station and back, in order, you have the Commander's Independent Thermal Imager, the mast component of the countermeasures/defensive suit, radio antenna, and the crosswind/meteorological sensor mast. Behind that, the "faded" portion that rises up quite a ways is the Commander's Independent Thermal Imager in it's extended mast position. It allows for greater visibility (such as in a fire controller mode, directing the actions of other tanks in its unit) over obstacles and over distances for the imager's thermal imaging and visual systems and its laser rangefinder and designator. Theoretically it could also work for long range communications either as a sort of wireless hub or for more secure communication - a laser communicator.

What's the tall thing on the back of the turret? Looks like it could be used for long range radio.
